SEMADEP is the acronym of SEKENANI MAASAI DEVELOPMENT PROJECT. Essentially, SEMADEP is a project that was designed to develop the Maasai community living in Sekenani area in a social and economic manner.
SEMADEP Foundation later established the SEMADEP camp in 2006 as an income generating activity to support the community projects. SEMADEP continues to seek more partners, donors and well wishers to support any of their community projects thus creating an enabling environment where this group of dedicated Maasai could see their dedication, commitment and resilience enable them realize their full potential and primary goal of charting their own development in a manner that is compatible with their culture, lifestyle and land.
