Day 1
Arrive in Nairobi. A choice of day. You will be picked up from Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve Sekenani gate. You will travel via Nairobi city and stopping along the way to admire views of the Great Rift Valley, a vast natural area of spanning several East African countries. Lunch, Dinner, Bonfire and overnight at Semadep Mara Camp.
Day 2
Gamedrive, Early Morning gamedrive at Maasai Mara National Reserve. This gives a chance for early morning live kills and best time to spot the big five. Vast grassland filled with exotic birds and animals. The most essential activity while at the Mara is definitely the gamdrives. A visit to the Mara is incomplete without this. Our qualified guides will guide you through the park with the sole aim of ensuring you enjoy the wild beauty. Overnight at Semadep Mara Camp
Day 3
Maasai Village Visit. Visit a traditional Maasai village accompanied by an English speaking guide who lives there himself and have an optional overnight stay at Maasai manyatta. Find yourself in the midst of the daily hustle and bustle of local life as you witness the daily rituals of the Maasai. Dance with the Morans, make fire and do bead work with the Maasai women. Once you have drunk your fill of this authentic cultural experience, you can choose to browse through the Maasai craft centre and purchase artifacts made by the people you encountered. Day 4
Nature Walk with A Maasai Warrior. Walk with an English speaking Maasai Warrior in their home terrain. You will have a perfect opportunity to interact with nature; plants, wildlife and culture with an option of climbing Naunerri hill, herding the cows/sheep and goat and experience their real way of life, learning the making and practice of weaponry like throwing spears, bows and arrows. They will answer all your questions about any aspect of their environment and life in the amazing Maasai Mara.
Day 5
Herding of the Maasai cows, sheep and goats. You will have an opportunity to herd the Maasai cattle accompanied by an English speaking warrior and experience their real way of life.
Day 6
Maasai Market. You will visit the Maasai market and witness how they perform their economic activities; selling and buying of cows, sheep and goats which is their main source of income.
Day 7
Visit to Semadep Primary School. Visit the school that was established by Semadep purposely to support and help the many bright and needy, orphans and vulnerable children in the Maasai community at Sekenani. You will also have an opportunity to visit Sekenani Health Centre which is also funded by Semadep Foundation.
Day 8
Depart to Nairobi (drop off).
